my workbag essentials
I could probably fill an entire closet with all of the bags, backpacks, and purses I own and I’m sure many of you could as well! There is one bag in particular that I tote with me almost everywhere and that’s my workbag. I don’t like to waste time (especially time that I don’t have a lot of!) so I make sure my bag with all of the work-y things I need is always with me. Oil changes, softball games, gymnastics class, orthodontist appointments…all great times to get some work done. My workbag of choice these days is this one:
The canvas and leather combo is so durable (I’m pretty rough on bags, sunglasses and shoes so I need durability!). It has a roomy interior and two storage pockets inside. I have lugged this thing on car trips, on airplanes, to furniture markets and more and it’s still holding up pretty darn well.
One of the items that is always in my bag is my laptop and this is the sleeve I slide it into when I’m not working. I love how slim it is so it doesn’t take up a lot of space and it’s perfectly padded so I know my MacBook will be totally safe. It has a pouch on the front that zips off which is where I store my mouse and charger cords. The fabric is also super durable and easy to clean. It’s also really inexpensive, only $25 on Amazon!
The number of pairs of sunglasses I own is a bit of a joke in our family. They are on the visor and console in my car, in my bags and purses, in a bin in my closet, on the kitchen counter and who knows where else. I have low end pairs and high end pairs, but my favorite brand consistently is Quay. They are a great price, great quality and come in a ton of styles. The “All In” style is my favorite for comfort and it goes with all sorts of outfits whether dressed up or down!
I recently discovered this hand balm and I am OBSESSED. My hands get super dry all year round, but I don’t like thick, heavy, greasy lotions. I also like lotions that have natural ingredients and healing properties and this little tub has all of that! It is made of almond oil, coconut oil, aloe vera and sweet orange oil. It feels amazing and it smells even better!
I rarely carry a wallet these days. Usually my cell phone with card holder on the back and keys are the only things with me, but this wallet by Hobo lives in my workbag. I LOVE this wallet. The leather feels smooth and soft, it has a ton of well-thought-out compartments and storage spaces and it’s just perfect for my cash, my coins and cards. It’s also just so pretty, right?!
