my dad’s margarita
Since it’s “Taco Tuesday” I figured I would share my family’s super easy and really tasty margarita recipe! When I was in middle and high school we lived in San Antonio, Texas which is home of some of the best Mexican food you will ever have. Every weekend my parents loved to host small gatherings (which is totally how I learned to love to do that to this day!) and our neighbors would come over to our house for board games, food and drink. My dad would usually run out and grab a bunch of tamales and he would often rent a margarita machine. He was pretty picky about his margaritas, he still is, and I quickly learned that the best margarita recipe doesn’t come in a pre-mixed bottle. His frozen margarita recipe is one that my family has used for years and it’s so easy to make!
Ingredients:
6 ounces frozen limeade
6 ounces tequila (any kind that you like!)
3 ounces triple sec
Ice
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender
Add ice to fill the blender
Blend and enjoy!
*Helpful Hint: Use the limeade can to measure your tequila and triple sec!
