quick breakfast for the kids

Whether it's the dead of summer when my kids are waking up too early, really late or somewhere in between or it's the school year when most of us are forced to wake up before the sun rises, breakfast is my least favorite meal to prepare. This is one of my easy go-to breakfasts that all of the kids will eat at 6:30 am before grabbing their backpacks and heading off to school or 10:30 am when they lazily roll out of bed in July.

Here's what you need:

  1. Immaculate Baking Company Crescent Rolls

  2. Jones Turkey Sausage

  3. Frozen Mixed Berries (I like the organic blend from Costco)

  4. Unsweetened Vanilla Almondmilk

  5. Frozen Bananas (cut in half or coins before freezing)

  6. Fresh Baby Spinach Leaves

Here's what you do:

  1. Microwave eight turkey sausage links for 30 seconds

  2. Roll each link in a triangle of crescent roll dough and bake according to package directions

  3. While the sausage rolls are baking, blend the following (makes one serving):

1 cup frozen mixed berries

1 cup Almondmilk

1/2 frozen banana

1 handful of spinach

That's it! It's easy, it hits most of the food groups and it keeps them full. Hope you and your little ones enjoy it as much as mine do!
